History and development of our Company

Venice, Rome, Milano, Florence, Naples …

Within the hearts of these cities there is pure beauty, luxury and inspiration concealed. The enigmatic and romantic Italy has always attracted its guests with its special charm and mysteriousness of its serpentine little streets, clay frescoes and tiny restaurants.

It has enchanted many famous poets and writers, such as Guy de Maupassant, Lord Byron and Alphonse de Lamartine.

Practically every country can boast of its own Little Italy, a small Italian district with and abundance of confectioner's shops, cafes and Italian cuisine restaurants. But the American-style Little Italy of the ‘20s and the ‘30s of the previous century is considered the liveliest and the most attractive. It was that image of Italy that has inspired the Royal Plaza Hotel design, one really royal place in the dynamically developing city which is less that half a century old.

This international-class hotel has opened its doors to the guests in September 2013.

Security and safety

Rules of staying in the Hotel

While staying in our Hotel you are kindly requested:

• to follow fire prevention rules, to prevent the occurrence of fires;
• in case of fire or flooding to immediately inform any personnel of the Hotel;
• to adhere to good manners of tidiness in the room and in the Hotel;
• when leaving the room, to close water tabs and windows, to switch off the light, the TV set and other electrical appliances;
• in case of damage to or loss of the Hotel property to compensate for such damage in accordance with damage statement prices prepared by the Hotel Management as well as to bear responsibility for any damage done by your guests;
• to preclude any infection in your room;
• upon departure to hand in your room key to an administrator of the Booking and Accommodation service (at reception desk) and to make payments for all services provided.

Visitors by invitation of a Guest.

For the hotel guests safety, visitors invited by a guest are requested to present to the Booking and Accommodation service personnel any ID paper. If no ID has been presented, the meeting shall be arranged in the Hotel lobby. In case of breach of accommodation rules such visits can be restricted in time or cancelled. The guest shall be responsible for his/her invitee’s compliance with the rules of staying n the Hotel.

Hotel administration has the right to enter any room without prior agreement with the guest in case of smoke, fire, flooding or severe breach of accommodation rules. Upon departure the guest is obliged to hand in the room key and to pay for all services provided at the reception desk (Booking and Accommodation service.)

The Hotel has the right to unilaterally cancel the hotel accommodation agreement with the guest or refuse stay extension in case of breach of staying rules by the guest, untimely payment for hotel services or damage done to the Hotel by the guest or his/her visitor.

Fire safety

Evacuation plan is located on the door of your room. We kindly ask you to memorize the exit ways and doors properly.

In case of fire

If there is dense smoke in the corridor:

Stay in your room.

Close any slots in the doorframe and ventilation grill with wet towels and the like.

Call 112, 01 or 25-00-00 and inform of your location.

Take off all window curtains to keep them from catching fire.

Close your nose and mouth with wet cloth.

If the air outside is clear open the window and call for help.

Keep calm.

Fire precautions measures:

For your own safety, we kindly ask you not to smoke in your bed, not to empty your ashtray into waste bins, not to overload electrical network with additional electrical appliance and not to cover table lamps or stand lamp with inflammable materials.

Make sure to switch off all electrical appliances after use. Be careful when using matches.

Upon detecting fire or smoke or receiving fire announcement.

If the fire started in your room:

• leave the room immediately;
• close the door;
• open the protective lid on the nearest fire annunciator and push the button;
• advance to the nearest fire escape staircase following fire escape symbols;
• keep closer to the floor in case of smoke.

When moving down the fire escape staircase:

• take off your high-heeled shoes;
• move fast, in single file, using the handles or the wall with your right hand for support;
• make way for ascending firemen;
• let others pass by you without blocking the passage.

All fire escape doors are opened without keys in an automatic mode.

Do not use the elevator.

Tourist information

The town of Nefteyugansk lies in the central part of the West-Siberian Plain, in the southeastern part of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area, and is the only town in the area and the Middle Ob region which is situated in the island territory, being washed by the Ob river from the north and by the Yugan Ob anabranch from the south. The conditions

of Nefteyugansk are those of the continental climate, which is characterized by a harsh winter and a short summer.

The ancient history of Nefteyugansk started in 1174 with a small settlement of the Khanty and Mansi peoples. They built yurts, bred deer and lead a solitary life. A new chapter in the history of the town began in 1961. A group of geologists-explorers found some oil fountains near the village called Ust-Balyuk. There was no such abundance of oil in the whole Tyumen region. The black gold gave the name and the new life to Nefteyugansk. Today it is a modern and constantly developing town, which has kept the local colour and culture of the people of the north.

Among a huge number of sights in Nefteyugansk one can distinguish the places that embody the history, culture and values of the town. Tourist should pay primary attention to them.

The main town Museum of the river Ob is dedicated to the ethnography. Its primary goal is to preserve and share the cultural heritage of the indigenous people of this severe land with the future generations. All the collections of the museum complex are being kept and studied in here: archeology, decorative and applied arts, painting, the objects of the history of technics, numismatics, rare books, sculpture, photography, etc The four permanent expositions are displayed in the exhibition halls. The core of the exhibition «The Nature of the river Ob» is the collections showing the diversity of the flora and fauna in the area under study: birds of prey, autumn taiga, winter fauna, the fish of the Ob river basin and other displays will impress even the most demanding visitor.

The stationary exhibition «The Yugra Heritage» is a detailed reconstruction of the history and ethnography of the modern Nefteyugansk area from the ancient times to today. The ethnography section of the exhibition represents the traditional culture of our land`s native population - the Salym and Yugan Khanty people. The exhibition displays some unique photographs taken over 100 years ago by the participants of the ethnographic expedition.

Temporary expositions with exhibits from the Museum funds are regularly formed around significant dates, holidays and events.

The cultural exhibition centre (CEC) «Ust-Balyuk» The wooden buildings of the CEC «Ust-Balyuk», built along the walking area of the Embankment, epitomize the historical past of the town. Inside the complex there are the two stationary exhibitions: «A dwelling house of the 1960s» and «The town born by the oil».

Visitors find themselves in the atmosphere of the middle of the last century, and, depending on their age, someone will learn a lot of new, and someone will feel nostalgic of their childhood and youth years.

Tourists who are keen on art, music and theatre should definitely visit the cultural institutions of Nefteyugansk.

The art gallery «Metamorphosis» Today the work of the art gallery «Metamorphosis» is known not only in Nefteyugansk and the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area-Yugra, but also far beyond.

The art gallery is a permanent exhibition space for the artists and craftsmen of the town, the area and other regions of Russia. It holds the crowd cultural events such as the Night at the Museum, The Night of Arts, The Town of Masters etc, and the museum educational events for children. The museum educational program for children with disabilities is also being implemented.

The puppet theatre «Magic flute» On the stage of the puppet theater are born fun, colorful performances that delight the residents of the city and their guests.

The municipal budget cultural institution «The City Library» Large premises, convenient central location and modern technical equipment allow hosting different town and area events. In the modern conditions the library workers hold the cultural and educational events, provide informational and other services, realize a number of educational programs. The library fund consists of around 250 000 copies of books, audio and video materials, electronic documents. The library leads a fruitful life, enriching the cultural, leisure and educational life of the town.

The ethnographic centre of the smallnumbered indigenous peoples of the North «Ai As Ruv» In the natural landscape environment of Nefteyugansk there is an open air ethnographic centre of the small-numbered indigenous peoples of the North, recreating the Khanty encampment. The centre occupies the territory of 1.5 ha. Seeing the dwelling, household and cultural buildings, a visitor can form a visual idea of all the richness and originality of the Ob and Ugra peoples` way of life and culture, that used to exist in harmony with the wild nature in the severe climate.

In the Centre premises the traditional local holidays are organized and held, as well as the folklore festivals, festive rituals, ethnicstyle weddings, demonstrations of the basic household and handicraft peculiarities of the northern peoples, ethnic cultural tourism organization.

The Embankment is the best place to enjoy the outstanding beauty of the Siberian river. Together with its tributary, the Irtysh, the river Ob reaches the length of 5410 km, which makes it the longest in the Asian part of Russia. There is a terrific panoramic view of the river and the Siberian taiga forest from the Embankment.

The walking area is cobbled, with benches and night-time lighting. Along the Embankment there are many sights of the town, for example, the All Saints Church and the memorial «The Pioneers ».

The locals and the town guests like taking pictures here, as there you can get a wonderful view of the new micro-districts and the highway bridge connecting Nefteyugansk with the villages of the area and the capital of the area-Khanty-Mansyisk.

The severe climate of Siberia often frightens travellers away, but it is worth making an effort, because such northern towns as Nefteyugansk are a real finding for tourists.
